The Enchanter Heir is the fourth book in the Heir Chronicles, but it is a companion book. This means that you do not have to have read the first three books in order to enjoy this one.

The clue he leaves behind leads Emma into Jonah's life-and a shared legacy of secrets and lingering questions.
Was Thorn Hill really a peaceful commune? Or was it, as the Wizard Guild claims, a hotbed of underguild terrorists? The Wizards' suspicions grow when members of the mainline guilds start turning up dead. They blame Nightshade, bringing tensions between the groups to a head.
Racing against time, Jonah and Emma work to uncover the truth about Thorn Hill, amid increasing concern that whoever planned the Thorn Hill Massacre might strike again.

Immediately when I read about the giveaway, I started praying fervently that I would win. I really enjoy the Heir Chronicles and the Seven Realms. I'm not generally a lucky person but if I did win this ARC, I would be overwhelmed with tears, shriek, jump up and down, and quickly call my best friend who lives in NZ who is also a fan. I was a bit disappointed to find that there wasn't a fourth book when I finished DH, and since it was quite a few years ago, I didn't think there was going to be any more books. However, now that there is going to be EH and SR, I'm awaiting it very much, and I would love an early read. :)

ReplyDeleteI really hope that I can win an ARC of Enchanter Heir after being a long time fan of both the Heir Series and the Seven Realms, because both series truly take us to the heart of fantasy. Whenever I read any of their books, I'm instantly immersed in another world which is an amazing experience. Just this Christmas I literally couldn't wait to read The Crimson Crown and ended up ripping off the wrapping paper Christmas Eve instead, and hopefully I won't have to wait to read The Enchanter Heir either.

ReplyDeleteI took Crimson Crown to the movies and read while waiting for "Jack Reacher" to start. I read until they turned down the lights and luckily I'd just turned the last page or I would have had to step out into the lobby to finish while they played previews. I have loved every single book you've written and have turned my husband onto them as well. I have them all sitting on the shelf waiting for my younger boys to pick them up. I recommend your books to anyone looking for well-written fantasy with exciting plots, fantastic characters who are deep and dynamic. Can't get enough of your books!!

Each year I look forward to going to Barnes and Nobles to receive a copy and watch your website closely to see if you will be coming to my area so I can meet you once again (so far 4 times now.) each time I do meet you I am so mystified by your presentation I end up losing time lol. I remember when you came to the Elyria public library in September 10, 2011 you were so shocked when I bought out my copy of your book the Gray Wolf Thrown that my dog had destroyed the night before I was to meet you I was in tears. And you that I ended up as the featured picture on your website for that event.

ReplyDeleteI love this series so much when I read it last year, and was severely sad to find that there wasn't any more books after the third one. I was so very happy to find about the fourth and fifth books and would love to read TEH early!
